AIFOTEC Fiberoptics GmbH has developed its Hybrid Integration Technology (HIT) for using automated processes, such as high precision laser soldering by means of image recognition, to combine discrete components.

The HIT tool kit:

• Significantly improves cost/performance ratio of fiberoptic subcomponents through automation, reduced alignment steps (enhanced yield) and requires fewer mechanical parts with lower precision.
• Optimizes systems using multi-channel CWDM and DWDM technologies by greatly expanding their data carrying capacities, thus reducing footprint and cost. Its components comply with applicable reliability, performance and interoperability standards.
• Reduces time-to-market and R&D costs, as well as, enables a faster customer response.
